UK Contract Sewing & Textile Manufacturing
British Manufacturing for Production-Ready Sewn Products
Looking for a UK manufacturer to produce an established textile product?
ROQSOLID provides contract cutting, industrial sewing and textile manufacturing services for businesses requiring reliable British production of non-apparel sewn products.
With more than 20 years of manufacturing experience, we work with a wide range of fabrics, foams, webbing and specialist materials to manufacture covers, bags, pouches, straps and other sewn textile products.
You bring us the developed product. We help manufacture it.
What We Can Help With
ROQSOLID specialises in the manufacture of developed, production-ready textile products.
If you have an existing product, working prototype, established pattern or sufficiently developed specification, we can assess it for manufacture and advise whether it is suitable for our production capabilities.
Our contract manufacturing services include:
Contract Sewing
Our industrial sewing capabilities allow us to manufacture a wide variety of non-apparel textile products, from relatively straightforward sewn items to more complex products incorporating multiple materials, webbing, padding, zips and fittings.
We can assess both smaller production requirements and larger repeat manufacturing runs, subject to the product and quantities involved.
Contract Cutting
We offer both hand cutting and automated textile cutting using our Aeronaut CNC cutting system.
Depending on the product and material, this can provide accurate and repeatable cutting for ongoing production.
Production Sampling
Before committing to a production run, we can produce a manufacturing sample based on an agreed existing prototype, pattern or specification.
This allows construction, materials and manufacturing details to be checked and approved before quantity production begins.
Please note: production sampling is not a product design or prototype-development service.
Already Have a Working Prototype?
That's Where We Come In.
Our contract manufacturing service is designed primarily for businesses and product owners who have already completed the initial product-development stage.
Ideally, you should be able to provide one or more of the following:
- A completed working prototype
- An existing product to manufacture
- Established patterns
- Detailed dimensions and construction information
- Material specifications
- Details of fittings, webbing, zips and other components
- An indication of anticipated production quantities
We can then assess how the product is constructed, the materials and processes required, and whether it is suitable for manufacture within our facility.
What We Don't Do
From Idea to Prototype
ROQSOLID is a manufacturer rather than a product design consultancy or pattern-development studio.
We therefore don't normally take an initial idea, sketch or written product brief and develop it through the complete process of:
- Product design
- Pattern development
- Experimental prototyping
- Multiple design revisions
- Technical product development
If your product is still at the idea or concept stage, we recommend working first with an appropriate product designer, textile designer or pattern maker to develop and prove the design.
Once you have a completed working prototype or production-ready design, you're very welcome to come back to us to discuss manufacturing.
Products We Can Manufacture
Our experience is primarily in non-apparel sewn textile products, including:
- Protective covers
- Equipment covers
- Bags
- Equipment bags
- Pouches
- Carrying cases
- Sleeves
- Webbing products
- Straps and belts
- Protective textile products
- Industrial textile products
- Specialist sewn products
- Custom textile products
We work across commercial, industrial, professional and specialist markets.
If your product isn't listed above, that doesn't necessarily mean we can't manufacture it. Send us details of the finished product or prototype and we'll assess whether it is a good fit for our capabilities.
Materials We Work With
Our manufacturing experience includes a wide variety of technical and industrial materials, including:
- Cordura® and similar technical fabrics
- Ballistic nylon
- Ripstop nylon
- Polypropylene
- Coated fabrics
- Vinyl

Material suitability will depend on the individual product, construction and manufacturing requirements.
From Prototype to Production
How Our Contract Manufacturing Process Works
1. Send Us Your Product
Tell us what you need manufactured and provide photographs, specifications and anticipated quantities.
Where appropriate, we may ask to see or receive the physical prototype.
2. Manufacturing Assessment
We'll assess the construction, materials and manufacturing processes required and determine whether the product is suitable for our capabilities.
3. Production Sample
Where required, a manufacturing sample can be produced so that the finished construction can be checked and approved.
4. Production
Once the specification, sample, quantities and pricing have been agreed, the product can move into manufacture.
5. Repeat Production
For suitable products, we can also discuss repeat manufacturing requirements as your business grows.
British Contract Manufacturing
ROQSOLID products have been manufactured in Britain for more than 20 years.
Working with a UK manufacturer offers a number of practical advantages, including easier communication, shorter supply chains, greater production visibility and the ability to work directly with the people manufacturing your products.
Our aim is straightforward:
Reliable manufacturing. Consistent quality. British craftsmanship.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you manufacture a product from an idea or sketch?
Not normally. We specialise in manufacturing developed products rather than providing a complete product-design and pattern-development service.
If you only have an idea, drawing or written brief, you will normally need a product designer or pattern maker to develop it into a working prototype first.
I already have a working prototype. Can you manufacture it?
Potentially, yes. This is exactly the stage at which we'd encourage you to contact us.
Send us details of the product, photographs and the quantities you anticipate requiring and we can assess whether it is suitable for our manufacturing capabilities.
Can you make a sample before production?
Yes. Where appropriate, we can produce a manufacturing sample before quantity production.
This is intended to establish and approve the production version of an already-developed product rather than develop an initial concept from scratch.
Do you offer contract cutting?
Yes. We offer hand cutting and automated CNC textile cutting, depending on the material and project.
What quantities can you manufacture?
Production quantities depend on the complexity of the product, materials, setup requirements and anticipated repeat orders.
Rather than imposing one minimum quantity across every type of product, we assess each manufacturing enquiry individually.
Do you manufacture clothing?
Our main expertise is in non-apparel sewn textile products such as covers, bags, pouches, straps and specialist protective products.
Can you manufacture an existing product for us?
Potentially. If you already manufacture or purchase a sewn textile product and are looking for a UK manufacturing partner, send us the details and we'll assess whether it is suitable for our production capabilities.
Looking for a UK Contract Sewing & Manufacturing Partner?
If you already have a working prototype, established product or production-ready design, we'd be happy to take a look.
Send us:
What the product is
Photographs of the product or prototype
Approximate dimensions
Materials, if known
Required quantity
Expected repeat quantities
We'll review the information and let you know whether the project looks suitable for ROQSOLID.
Have a developed product? Let's see if we can manufacture it.
